BIG TRIUMPH AT THE HARDWARE STORE
"Such a clock, if sufficiently impressive and well-engineered, would embody deep time for people. It should be charismatic to visit, interesting to think about, and famous enough to become iconic in the public discourse. Ideally, it would do for thinking about time what the photographs of Earth from space have done for thinking about the environment. Such icons reframe the way people think."

Seven, Seven, Five, And Five
It's happening.
"THE BELLE AND SEBASTIAN-TYPE SONG" (E-Amaj7)
Bass beats:
YAMAHA pop rock @ 86 BPM, with INTRO
or: 8beat light @98 BPM, alternating rhythm 1 in and out. Allows space. Come back in half beat before cycling Rhythm 2 out. Also, can cut last bit off Rhythm 1 before bringing 2 up front.
HIGH SYNTH:
synth leads on YAMAHA, #'s 81-85 (high D#)
=Bass line open each verse=
You left her in Tangiers
A love you haven't felt in years
Wearing cowboy boots, you lay
Anywhere, no one can say
No one can say
7,7,5, and 5
Whatever was dead before's a live
You'd give her anything she wants
And want to give her everything
So (you) give her everything
Things left in the dark
By a shadow park
Am (arpeggiagted) E
What was impossible before
Amaj7 E
Got thrown out the door one day
Am E
What was unthinkable in May
Amaj7 E Amaj7
Pushed you out into the fray one day,
E Amaj7
Out into the bay one day
Amaj7 E Amaj7
Don't think about tomorrow
E Amaj7 E Am (hold)
Forget about Tomorrow
It's still today
It's always today
**inst break Am-E, with spanish trumpet over it**
(spare strum of verse chords)
The rhetoric of the day
Leaves nothing to parlay
Go on, tackle it all once more
Do the thing you j'adore
She gives you everything she's got
She gives you everything she's got

Spy Villagers
In a spy village, a postal employee is buried coffinless in a shallow grave.
The whole town exists for the cut glass industry, and to house spies. Many of the small houses have small, rectangular examples of the glass product out front which also serve as a signal that no spy dwells within those specific houses. Which is stupid, because then you could just look for the spies in the houses without the glass products.

I Hear Deaf People
Girl with the celery shoes
I do a lot alone
Who held herself back
Who was there to pick up that slack
A crime to pantomime
Because none of this belongs to me
Rita, I owed her money
The beach, I wanted to swim
Theresa seduced her patrons
So naturally
The painter waves her hand and
I walk down the path
Give up freedom for a pat on the back
And to talk to someone not crazy
Sing
One day, Karen's brother had a tune cycling repeatedly in his head while he was showering. Luckily for us, it turned out to be the horn part in "SIng".
Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad
(*) Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song
La la la la la
La la la la la la...
Sing, sing a song
Let the world sing along
Sing of love there could be
Sing for you and for me
Repeat (*)

Flying So High You're Small: Big Enough To Be Everywhere
Starts with the lift off. You fly so very high that you are invisible from the ground. You become molecular in the scheme of things, and therefore PART OF EVERYTHING, so, bigger.
